14th May 2007Moonhill Depot
We purchased this layout in 1999 and it consisted of baseboards with track and wiring. We altered the track plan and re-wired to suit.
The track is all Peco apart from a 3 way point which is Marcway. All the points are operated by Tortoise point motors. The working colour light signals and level crossing gates are by Roger Murray.
The scenics were completed by Keith Naish. During 2006 we have fitted our locos with decoders and the layout is now DCC controlled using a Lenz system. The next Exhibition booked for this layout is at Folkestone on the 4th and 5th October 2008.

Mossbank Yard is the modern Image layout of the New Forest Model Railway Society. It represents a BR Speedlink yard near to the West Coast main line in the 1980's.
The overhead catenary is a mostly Sommerfeltd with some scratch built gantries. The colour light signals are from Roger Murray.
The backscenes were painted by club member Adrain Cox.
These photos are taken at various exhibitions over the years.

Photos of Dalry Road at our 2005 Exhibition in Brockenhurst, This is a late 60's mainly green diesel layout set in southern Scotland and was very popular at our show. Some of the locos are visitors to the layout from local club members which explains the presence of class 33's.

This is my 'O' Gauge garden railway which started running in July 2003 with about 8 metres of track in use. Track installation has continued and this year we have an out and back loop with a circuit in the garden for continuous running.
Next summer I hope to increase the size of the circuit and then eventually make it double track.
23rd Sep 2003Oakdale 1960's 'O' Gauge Garden Railway
A few photos of 'O' Gauge trains from the 1960's era. Steam and Diesel on my garden railway which only started running in August 2003. I have very little steam stock and no green diesels so most of the photos in this section are visitors.

24th Sep 2003Westcliffe CCE Yard 4mm
This is Tony Sinfield's layout featuring an Engineers yard plus private sidings for Bitumen tanks, Vans and Coal. Westcliffe CCE Yard is 18ft long including the Fiddle yard and is scenic for the full length. It can be exhibited on its own or linked to Mossbank Yard or Hollybank Depot or all 3 layouts can be joined together as one 52 foot long layout.
More information can be found at Tony's website on the links box. Westcliffe's next Exhibition will be at Alton on Feb 7/8 2009.
29th Sep 2008Westcliffe CCE Yard at Christchurch Sept 2008
These photos were all taken at the Christchurch Exhibition on 27th and 28th September 2008. The layout was positioned at the rear of the stage and the lighting was very poor, this made the new recently installed colour light signals show up very well. The yard lamps and loco lighting were also very effective, but it made photography difficult so to get decent depth of field in these photos a tripod was used and long shutter speeds of up to 2 seconds. Westcliffe will next be exhibited at Alton on February 7th and 8th 2009.
8th Feb 2009Westcliffe CCE Yard at Exhibitions in 2009
Tony Sinfield's Westcliffe CCE Yard layout has appeared at 3 Exhibitions in 2009, they were Tolworth, Southampton and Alton. Along with other members of the New Forest MRS I have operated the layout at these shows where I have taken these photos. At Tolworth Westcliffe was joined to Mossbank Yard and Hollybank Depot forming a layout 52 feet in length, some of the photos are taken on these layouts as well.
